New Year, New School, New YOU!

Greetings! Welcome to the Guardian TMA blog page. We have some exciting information to share with you this week. As you can see, things are under way at the studio. Our tots classes are beginning to grow and along with all the new faces come the great smiles! We love to see that. It gives us excellent feedback that we are helping your child overcome obstacles, take on new challenges and learn karate in a fun and safe manner.

The kids and teens classes are also growing rapidly. They are learning practical self-defense, building a strong martial arts foundation by way of traditional drills and exercises. They are also learning how to work with a partner as well as a team.

Our character development theme is Courage -- doing the right thing even when it is hard, or if you are afraid. This certainly rings true for us as a new school. German writer and statesman, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, "Courage is the commitment to begin without any guarantee of success." Our commitment to bring Soo Bahk Do to the Sewell and Mantua Township communities and make our schools safer by developing well-mannered, respectful, and confident children is the driving force behind why we are here. Our raison d'être , so to speak.

Your investment in your children's well-being will pay dividends for many years to come. The courage it takes to make that investment in time and resources will prove its worth when you see how well your child does in school; when he/she gets Student of the Month, or Character awards; when they behave well in public places and at home. And even when they are afraid, to stand up for others because it is the right thing to do.

We thank you very much for your trust in our school. We are excited to teach, learn and grow with you and your children. And we cannot wait until class starts!

And don't forget, we are hosting a FREE Women's Self-Defense Class on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 7 pm. Sign up on the home page.
